Description |
Pepsin powder is an acidic, proteolytic enzyme, prepared from porcine gastric mucosa. A suitable diluent (lactose, sucrose or lower power powder) is added to adjust the enzyme activity to that specified if allowed. This product is a white or slightly yellow, crystalline or amorphous powder, hygroscopic, soluble in water, practically insoluble in ethanol (96%). |
